Assemblage: Hand-harvested between September 11 & October 8, 2021 depending on varietal for optimal ripeness & flavor. All grapes are from our Certified Sustainable Vineyard.

Elévage: Aged 23 months in new and neutral French Oak
Vintage Notes: 2021 was an unusual growing season in Washington, marked by record-breaking heat which resulted in low yields. The most significant event was the historic “heat dome” in late June which sent temperatures in Zillah to upwards of 112 degrees. Our vineyard fared well during this heat as we watered liberally in advance and throughout. The rest of the summer remained hot with “Grower Degree Days” averaging 8% more than 2015; one of the warmest years in recent memory. Temperatures cooled in
September and October allowing for extended ripening and for acids to hang on. Overall, the harvest was marked by small berries, loose clusters and excellent fruit quality.
Winemaker Notes:
A captivating red wine that offers a delightful array of aromas and flavors. On the nose, it presents a medium intensity, with a charming interplay of herbal notes, sour cherry, and inviting raspberry jam. Hints of licorice, vanilla, and a touch of nutmeg baking spice add a layer of complexity.
In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby hue, showcasing its vibrant and alluring character. On the palate, the medium-bodied structure gracefully envelopes your mouth with soft tannins and the finish leaves a lasting impression of the wine’s character. The flavor profile presents a delightful combination of ripe blackberry, Italian prune, and the pleasant sweetness of dried figs.
With its balance of flavor and tannin, the 2021 Dineen Vineyards Vintner's Blend can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 5 years, allowing it to develop further complexities with time.
