Varietal Composition: 100% Viognier
Aging: 15 months in neutral French barrels
Vintage Notes: The 2016 vintage experienced a very warm spring and early onset of summer followed by a temperate fall season. The cooler temperatures in August and September slowed ripening and extended “hang time” to slow the maturity of the grapes. The result was the longest harvest on record in Washington State (mid-August through mid-November). Overall, 2016 saw very favorable growing conditions that produced wines with ripeness. balance and elegance.
Tasting Notes: This medium plus bodied white wine is medium gold in color. It is made in the Northern Rhône style and tastes of honey, peach, vanilla and nutmeg. This wine is barrel aged in neutral French oak which imparts a creamy taste.
