- 50% Merlot
- 25% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 25% Cabernet Franc
Winemaking: Each varietal was fermented and aged separately in neutral French oak for 12 months and then blended prior to bottling.
Vintage Notes: The 2016 vintage experienced a very warm spring and early onset of summer followed by a temperate fall season. The cooler temperatures in August and September slowed ripening and extended “hang time” to slow the maturity of the grapes. The result was the longest harvest on record in Washington State (mid-August through mid-November). Overall, 2016 saw very favorable growing conditions that produced wines with ripeness. balance and elegance.
Tasting Notes: This bright red wine is medium bodied and exhibits the flavors and aromas of raspberry, white pepper and violet. It is ready to drink now.
